We are currently looking foran experienced origination Analyst to join our Private Funds Group in New York City. The Private Funds Group is an integral group within Aviditi Advisors. In August, it was announced that Piper Sandler completed its acquisition of Aviditi Advisors ( press release ) representing the next chapter in the firm's continued growth. Aviditi Advisors is a premier independent advisory firm that provides comprehensive, tailored solutions throughout an alternative investment manager's lifecycle. A candidate would have the ability to join an entrepreneurial and growing team looking to build out a highly differentiated, private equity focused advisory platform. Aviditi Advisors operates across three core business lines: primary fundraising, secondary advisory and direct transaction solutions. The Analyst will have the opportunity to support origination, diligence and pitching primarily as it relates to the Private Capital Advisory group's fundraising business line. We are looking for a motivated self-starter who is interested in taking a prominent seat in driving execution as well as interfacing with clients on a regular basis. This opportunity is an ideal role for candidates who are interested in contributing to building and expanding a private equity-focused advisory platform. The ideal candidate should have an entrepreneurial team spirit, possess strong leadership skills, and take a hands-on approach in his/her everyday dealings within the company. Key deal execution tasks include: Conducting research and analysis into the private equity market - including fund manager (GPs), investors (LPs), various trends and specifics related to either GPs or LPs, macro-economic and micro-economic dynamics Participating in client calls and meetings with potential GP prospects for the business alongside senior team members as well as conducting pre-meeting research and assisting with follow up from origination meetings Assisting in the diligence and material creation alongside other members of the origination team when pitching prospective clients Developing and maintaining original thought leadership content for origination, including market maps Updating senior executives on key metrics for origination activity Working in concert with our Capital Solutions and Secondary Capital Advisory teams to deliver full-life cycle, strategic advice to clients Ad hoc projects and other work as assigned Qualifications include: At least 6 months to 1 year of transaction experience in Investment Banking, Private Equity, Consulting, Private Wealth and /or Accounting An undergraduate degree from a top-tier school Excellent quantitative and analytical skills, including Excel modeling and valuation Very strong technology skills with exceptional Excel and Power Point Outstanding written and verbal skills with specific ability to communicate concepts and ideas concisely Ability to work well under pressure, manage tight deadlines, and have the aptitude to synthesize large amounts of information Strong interpersonal skills, detail oriented, organized, pro-active, intellectual curiosity, and an ability to thrive in a high energy, dynamic environment Ability to comfortably interact with clients in the utmost professional and mature manner Outstanding ethics, integrity, and judgement FINRA SIE, 7, 63 and 79 licenses or willingness to obtain As a leading investment bank, we enable growth and success for our clients through deep sector expertise, candid advice and a differentiated, highly productive culture. The anticipated starting salary for New York City-based individuals expressing interest in this position is $125, 000 per year. Placement within this range is dependent upon level of experience. This position is eligible for annual incentive compensation which will be a part of the total compensation.
