What you'll do As a Technical Program Manager within the Security team, you will be an active contributor to the overall strategy of cross-org security initiatives, shape technical design, drive decision making, and ensure seamless execution through all the program phases"”from planning to delivery. Responsibilities Act as the voice of the user in security designs, gather direct feedback, identify security challenges and incorporate them into our planning Play a key part in shaping the technical design, predicting technical roadblocks by collaborating with engineers, and identifying trade-offs between usability and security Leverage data to drive strategic decisions and prioritization at the leadership level Create widely circulated plans, driving consistency, clarity and building alignment across teams Help influence peers / stakeholders and build consensus while dealing with ambiguity Operationalize key cross-functional security initiatives and programs that require security domain, systems and engineering level knowledge Define and report on program health, success metrics and active progress Develop, implement, and iterate on program management procedures, frameworks, and metrics to achieve goals with defined success criteria Elevate the execution muscle of engineering teams around you. Train them to be better at delivery where needed. Who you are We're looking for someone who meets the minimum requirements to be considered for the role. Minimum requirements 8+ years of software engineering, systems engineering or technical product/program management experience Experience in security infrastructure technology and cloud native infrastructure services Familiarity with industry standards and regulations related to security, privacy, and compliance Excellent communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to effectively collaborate with technical and non-technical stakeholders Demonstrated competencies in providing program management during all phases of software development from kick-off to ship Strong analytical and problem-solving skills, with the ability to think critically, challenge the norms and make data-driven decisions Experience operating autonomously and leading large-scale efforts across multiple teams and functions, with stakeholders in different disciplines across time zones. Preferred Qualifications Background in technical program management, in the field of security. Proficient knowledge in security architecture, threat modeling and privacy principles. SQL and python scripting and/or programming skills would be a huge advantage. See Security at Stripe for more information about our security practices and commitment. Location and Work Arrangement This role is available either in an office or a remote location (typically, 35+ miles or 56+ km from a Stripe office). Office-assigned Stripes spend at least 50% of the time in a given month in their local office or with users. This hits a balance between bringing people together for in-person collaboration and learning from each other, while supporting flexibility about how to do this in a way that makes sense for individuals and their teams. A remote location, in most cases, is defined as being 35 miles (56 kilometers) or more from one of our offices. While you would be welcome to come into the office for team/business meetings, on-sites, meet-ups, and events, our expectation is you would regularly work from home rather than a Stripe office. Stripe does not cover the cost of relocating to a remote location. We encourage you to apply for roles that match the location where you currently or plan to live. Compensation and Benefits The annual US base salary range for this role is $173,400 - $260,200. For sales roles, the range provided is the role's On Target Earnings ("OTE") range, meaning that the range includes both the sales commissions/sales bonuses target and annual base salary for the role. This salary range may be inclusive of several career levels at Stripe and will be narrowed during the interview process based on a number of factors, including the candidate's experience, qualifications, and location. Applicants interested in this role and who are not located in the US may request the annual salary range for their location during the interview process.
