Development Associate

About The Role As the Development Associate at Lemontree, you will support the fundraising process for a fast-growing tech nonprofit, including helping manage our volunteer program. You'll report to our Chief of Staff, who currently oversees this work. This is an ideal role for an early-career candidate interested in learning all aspects of non-profit fundraising. Fundraising & Volunteer Management (70%) Work closely with our ED and CoS in all aspects of the development process from prospecting through account management. Research funders & keep our CRM updated. Research and contribute to various grant applications and foundation inquiries. Attend pitch meetings and create materials to help close new partnerships. Facilitate live volunteer activities for corporate partners & respond to volunteer inquiries. Maintain relationships with key funders and community partners. Communications & Storytelling (20%) Support Lemontree's online presence by managing our LinkedIn page, creating blog posts, and engaging with our partners online. Research PR opportunities, case studies, etc. and assist with pitching Lemontree for those opportunities. Special Projects (10%) Things move fast at Lemontree-there's always an opportunity to work on something new! This role is location agnostic to the United States, with a slight preference towards one of the regions we serve (NYC, NJ, Philadelphia, Boston, Washington D.C., Baltimore, Atlanta, Charlotte, Columbus, Tampa, and Detroit). We need you to be available from 10:00am to 6:00pm Eastern Time, with occasional early morning meetings. This is a junior level role with compensation and expectations to match.
