Come be a part of our mission! Northrop Grumman Space Systems, PGSD is seeking an experienced engineer in the following areas: Receiver Exciter, RF/Microwave design and Digital Technology. The Staff Digital Receiver Exciter Engineer will lead the development and design of the DREX (Digital Receiver Exciter) technology working toward advanced antenna backend solutions. This position will support our Remote Sensing Program (RSP) Business Unit, located in Baltimore, MD . Responsibilities include but not limited to : The candidate should demonstrate familiarity/technical ability in one or more of the following areas: Subsystem Control Design Subsystem requirements (hardware and software) derivation, flow-down, and configuration Systems Architecture Documentation experience, generating test procedures, test reports, RF requirements, data analysis, data presentation Data Processing Measurements and Data Reduction Integrated subsystems including DREX and Antenna Hardware Subsystem integration, test, and system integration Conducting Test Readiness Reviews (TRR) Perform in-depth analysis of hardware commanding down to the register level Basic Qualifications: Must have a bachelor's degree STEM degree or related discipline with 12 years of experience, 10 years of experience with a master's degree, or 7 years of experience with a Ph.D. Expertise in working with receiver/exciters, conducting RF performance analysis, and implementing digital beamforming Knowledge in VHDL or Verilog/System Verilog FPGA programming language Knowledge of Digital signal processing algorithms Familiarity with FPGA design development flow Experience in integrating board designs and FPGA Digital controls within a lab environment Capability to troubleshoot hardware/production issues on the bench as needed Familiarity with RF and digital test equipment 2 years of experience leading a team Excellent communication skills and ability to present effectively to both internal and external customers Proficiency in Mixed signal Board design (RF and Digital) No clearance required to start, but must have the ability to obtain and maintain DoD Clearance Secret/Top Secret or an SCI Preferred Qualifications : Active TS/SCI security clearance Experience using MATLAB Experience using Python Experience using TcL Salary Range: $157,500 - $236,300 The above salary range represents a general guideline; however, Northrop Grumman considers a number of factors when determining base salary offers such as the scope and responsibilities of the position and the candidate's experience, education, skills and current market conditions. Employees may be eligible for a discretionary bonus in addition to base pay. Annual bonuses are designed to reward individual contributions as well as allow employees to share in company results. Employees in Vice President or Director positions may be eligible for Long Term Incentives.
