VECRA's extensive experience with innovative software applications, reporting systems, facilities and supply chain management, program management and staffing support services are always: Vigilant * Efficient * Collaborative * Responsive * Accurate Job Description As a Microsoft Power BI Support and Development Specialist, you will be responsible for providing expert end-user support for existing Power BI Reports and Dashboards throughout the County, as well as designing, developing, and maintaining new custom-built data models and reports. You will work closely with stakeholders to understand their business intelligence needs, translate requirements into technical tasks, and create coherent and useful reports to meet business objectives. You will also provide direct customer support to assist users with previously deployed reports and dashboards. The ideal candidate will have a proficient understanding of Power BI and experience working with a wide variety of different data sources. ROLES and RESPONSIBILITIES 1 | Page ● Design, develop, and deploy custom reports and dashboards using Microsoft Power BI that meet business requirements and provide actionable business insights. ● Collaborate with stakeholders to gather and analyze business intelligence requirements, translating them into technical specifications and useful reports. ● Connect Power BI with various data sources and services, including SQL Server, Oracle, SAP BW, Salesforce, and SharePoint. ● Provide ongoing support and maintenance for existing Power BI reports and dashboards, including troubleshooting issues and implementing enhancements. ● Adhere to best practices in Power BI development, including data modeling standards, security, and visual optimization. ● Work closely with other developers, project managers, and business analysts to ensure successful project delivery and alignment with business goals. ● Offer training and support to end-users and provide guidance on effective use of Power BI. QUALIFICATIONS and REQUIRED SKILLS: ● 3-5 years of experience in developing reports with Microsoft Power BI. ● Proficiency in Power BI Desktop and Power BI Report Builder. ● Proficiency using DAX formulas in Power Query. ● Experience with SQL Server, Oracle, SharePoint, SAP BW, Salesforce, and other data sources. ● Experience writing queries and creating intricate semantic models. ● Familiarity with SSRS and similar reporting tools. PREFERRED SKILLS ● Experience in Microsoft BI stack with Power BI, SSAS, SSRS, SSIS. 2 | Page ● Familiarity with scripting and programming. ● Some knowledge of UI/UX development. ● Strong problem-solving skills and attention to detail. ● Sound logical and analytical reasoning skills. ● Excellent communication and interpersonal skills. ● Ability to work both independently and collaboratively in a team environment. ● Effective time management and organizational skills. EDUCATION ● Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Information Technology, or a related field, or equivalent experience.
