LaForce is looking for a 1st Shift Door Fabricator to be responsible for all aspects of the fabrication of customer hollow metal/stainless steel doors and panels. Major Responsibilities Interpret shop orders, drawings, and hardware templates to fabricate door/panel components and to assemble them to specifications. Shearing, bending, spot welding, arc welding, use of adhesives, cutting, grinding/polishing, cleaning of metal and packaging. Ability to understand and apply basic principles of metal forming to fabricate unique and custom parts and accessories for other departments, forklift operation, raw material inventory management, and other material handling activities. Qualifications High school diploma or general education degree (GED), and one to three months of related experience and/or training. Ability to read and interpret documents such as safety rules, operating and maintenance instructions, and procedure manuals. Physical Demands The employee is required to frequently use hands to lift up to 69# floor to 60", carry up to 69#, and push/pull up to 100# force. The employee is required to occasionally sit, climb or balance (in and out of forklift), talk to hear, grip up to 75# force, and climb/balance or step up to 19".
