Job Description Job Description Overview The position is for a Production Technician (Material Handling) at a BioTechnology Center of Excellence located in Millsboro, DE. The role requires a High School degree and involves various material handling duties, including washing, prepping, sterilizing equipment, and maintaining cleanliness in the work area. The candidate must have effective communication skills, problem-solving abilities, and flexibility in their work schedule to meet manufacturing demands. Responsibilities: Assist in washing, prepping, and sterilizing equipment. Document filter usage and maintain cleanliness of work area (tables, walls, floors). Operate Parts Washer, Beta Star autoclaves, and Waste Decon autoclave. Maintain concurrent record keeping including logbooks and all pertinent documentation. Demonstrate safe work habits and comply with safety and company policies and procedures. Assist in training new team members and perform non-aseptic procedures. Review and sign off on SOPs and paperwork. Attend training classes, workshops, and meetings to improve job skills and product-related procedures. Flexible scheduling and willingness to work in various areas: Wrapping and sterilizing in Class D environment (autoclaving experience preferred but not required). Material handling: walking outdoors, physically active, gathering supplies for production (must be on their feet). Steaming large pharmaceutical-grade equipment. Cleaning large vessels and sterilization. This role is focused on material handling duties and is not lab-based. The candidate must be flexible, detail-oriented, and committed to maintaining a safe work environment.
