This role provides support to the accounts payable department with the primary focus being processing day-to-day invoices; ensuring documentation is complete, accurate and payments are timely while adhering to AP policies and procedures. Responsibilities Sort, process and distribute mail, validate and prepare invoices for scanning, while indexing all required transaction data and Monitor and categorize email for other staff to address Perform high volume invoice entry, including 2 and 3 -way PO matching, transferring e-invoice successfully in accordance with departmental volume and accuracy standards Research and resolve invoice discrepancies and escalate as needed to ensure timeliness of payments Assisting with projects within the department Backup to other staff and other duties as assigned Qualifications Required for this job: High school diploma or equivalent 1-year processing accounts payable previous experience in a healthcare setting preferred Able to work in a fast-paced environment and handle multiple projects at once. Clear and professional oral and written communication skills by email, phone and in person Strong organizational and problem-solving skills Attention to detail and ability to follow-up regularly, prioritize, and independently perform complicated tasks with minimal direction Maintain and apply accounts payable best practices on policies and procedures Able to identify and resolve routine and complex problems Able to ensure accurate and timely AP processing Strong computer skills, including proficiency with MS Office Word, Excel and Outlook 10-key by touch Professional behavior to include punctuality, reliability, collaboration, and the ability to work well with all levels within the organization Preferred for this job: Bachelor's degree Previous experience in a healthcare setting preferred PeopleSoft FMS experience A statement describing your commitment and contributions toward greater diversity, equity, inclusion, and antiracism in your career or that will be made through your work at Fred Hutch is requested of all finalists.
