They will supervise and support staff in accordance with shelter policies and procedures. Serve as the primary contact for staff regarding shift scheduling related concerns. Responsible for shift schedule to include: staff time off, staff unexpected absences, lateness, and coordination of alternate staff to ensure shift coverage. Monitor and evaluate staff performance, absences, and tardiness. Resolve conflicts in a manner consistent with program guidelines. Respond to client and shelter emergencies and notify proper emergency authorities in a timely fashion. Maintain a clean and safe environment as appropriate. Maintain and update Nightly Shelter Log. Communicates with other shift supervisor and Program Manager. Act as professional role model for staff and participants. Maintain guidelines established by the funding sources and Catholic Charities policies and procedures. This position pay is $20.00 Per hour with $1500 HIRING INCENTIVE. Part Time- Friday, Saturday and Sunday 4pm to 12 am. Qualifications Education and/or Experience Required at Entry : H.S. Diploma/G.E.D. with three (3) years relevant experience or an equivalent combination of education and relevant experience. Experience working with a specific population preferred. Licenses/Certificate/Clearances: Valid N.Y.S. Driver's License, N.Y.S. Child Abuse Registry clearance. Skills/Abilities: Customer service skills. Oral and written communication skills. Working Conditions and Environment/Physical Demands: Mobility sufficient to drive to and participate in meetings at client's homes and/or community facilities which may not meet Federal accessibility standards for disabled individuals, Manual dexterity sufficient to work with children/adults in a challenging and active environment, Ability to lift 50 lbs.
