We're looking for energetic people to join our team hosting the immersive show BEAUTIFICA at the OMSI - Oregon Museum of Science and Industry. You will be working as an on-site rep and our company ambassador to the venue staff team and audience. This is a part time (W2) position with great opportunities for commission. BEAUTIFICA will run at the planetarium as long as there is a demand for seats. Our ideal candidate would be tech savvy, have customer service experience and an upbeat, positive personality. ******** BEAUTIFICA is a fully immersive music and art cinematic projection show for planetariums and giant screen theaters designed to relieve stress, evoke joy, happiness, and relaxation. We are URGENTLY looking for candidates who can work the following show dates: 11/26/2023 Sunday 3:00pm-8:30pm 12/1/2023 Friday 7:00pm-10:00pm 12/3/2023 Sunday 4:00pm-8:30pm 12/7/2023 Thursday 4:00pm-8:30pm 12/8/2023 Friday 7:00pm-10:00pm 12/10/2023 Sunday 4:00pm-8:30pm 12/21/2023 Thursday 4:00pm-8:30pm 12/22/2023 Friday 7:00pm-10:00pm Preference will be given to applicants who can work all or most of of the above dates. We are offering $22/hr for this position. Responsibilities include: Setting up/taking down our lobby setup to include: signage, check-in table, and merchandise Welcoming and checking in our audiences, answering guest's questions Merchandise inventory and sales Overall event facilitation, ensuring a smooth guest experience Offering suggestions or comments on how we can do better Communication: this role requires timely communication with our Venue Operations team ** Requirements:** Comfortable with using iPad apps, including WhatsApp Upbeat, positive personality Customer service experience Communicative Detail oriented Reliable Punctual Good judgment (able to timely relay any concerns or issues) Leadership / teamwork qualities (able to confidently direct provided on-site staff helpers when necessary) Natural problem solver Calm under pressure in high stress environments More about our values We expect: • Hard work, including some off hours (since we are running shows round the world); • World-class standards. • Attention to detail; we are moving fast and don't have time to be checking others' work. • Humor (lots of humor). • Respect and consideration for other team-members and our audience. • Ethics - while we push the boundaries of the tech, we always act with honesty and integrity. • Long-term, big picture thinking. • A collaborative outlook and attitude. • Ownership of mistakes, and the ability to turn them in to learning opportunities.
