Job Summary We are seeking a DevOps Engineer with 8 to 10 years of experience to join our team. The ideal candidate will have expertise in Terraform and Ansible and domain experience in Healthcare payer systems. This hybrid role requires a proactive individual who can contribute to our infrastructure development projects during day shifts. No travel is required. Responsibilities Lead the design and implementation of infrastructure solutions using Terraform and Ansible. Oversee the development and maintenance of infrastructure as code (IaC) to ensure efficient and scalable deployments. Provide technical guidance and mentorship to junior developers on best practices and standards. Collaborate with cross-functional teams to gather requirements and deliver infrastructure solutions that meet business needs. Ensure the security and compliance of infrastructure by implementing industry-standard practices and tools. Optimize infrastructure performance by monitoring and tuning systems for maximum efficiency. Develop and maintain documentation for infrastructure processes configurations and procedures. Troubleshoot and resolve complex infrastructure issues to minimize downtime and ensure high availability. Implement automation scripts to streamline infrastructure management and reduce manual intervention. Conduct regular reviews and audits of infrastructure to identify areas for improvement and implement necessary changes. Participate in the evaluation and selection of new tools and technologies to enhance infrastructure capabilities. Work closely with stakeholders to understand their requirements and provide solutions that align with organizational goals. Ensure seamless integration of infrastructure components with existing systems and applications. Qualifications Possess strong expertise in Terraform and Ansible with a proven track record of successful implementations. Demonstrate in-depth knowledge of infrastructure as code (IaC) principles and practices. Exhibit excellent problem-solving skills with the ability to troubleshoot and resolve complex issues. Show proficiency in scripting languages such as Python or Shell for automation purposes. Have experience working in a hybrid work model with the ability to collaborate effectively with remote teams. Display strong communication skills to interact with technical and non-technical stakeholders. Hold a solid understanding of security and compliance requirements in infrastructure management. Be familiar with monitoring and performance tuning tools to optimize infrastructure performance. Show a proactive approach to learning and adopting new technologies and tools. Have a background in the Payer domain with an understanding of industry-specific requirements. Demonstrate the ability to lead and mentor junior developers in best practices and standards. Possess excellent documentation skills to maintain comprehensive records of infrastructure processes. Exhibit a strong commitment to delivering high-quality infrastructure solutions that meet business needs. Salary and Other Compensation: This position is accepting applications until 11/21/2024 The annual salary for this position is between [$52,000] - [$133,500] depending on experience and other qualifications of the successful candidate. This position is also eligible for Cognizant's discretionary annual incentive program and stock awards, based on performance and is subject to the terms of Cognizant's applicable plans.
