Position Overview The Senior Accountant, working under the supervision of the Controller, will be responsible for the monthly consolidation and analysis of three (3) Wanzl North America (WNA) legal entities, assist in the forecast and budget process, upload financial results into the Wanzl global consolidation system, serve as the primary financial reporting liaison with the German headquarter office, ensure financial reporting accuracy, preparation of Power Point Presentations, fixed asset management, and SAP conversion support. Duties and Responsibilities: Timely and accurate preparation of monthly financial statements for Mexico legal entity. Consolidation of North America legal entities including inter-company eliminations. Upload all financial results into the global consolidation system. Financial reporting liaison between WNA and the Corporate Controlling team in Germany to ensure reporting accuracy, change management, and respond to information requests. Bridge US GAAP financial reporting to German GAAP according to prescribed guidelines. Assist with preparation and consolidation of forecasts and annual budget. Collaborate with Accounting team members to analyze and ensure accuracy of results across the operations in USA, Canada, and Mexico. Prepare business review PowerPoint Presentations for the Group Management Board. Manage fixed asset ledger for book and tax and conduct physical inventory of fixed assets. Other duties as assigned including assistance and testing for an ERP conversion. Identify continuous improvement opportunities and cost savings initiatives. Key member of the ERP implementation team including testing and process mapping to ensure a smooth conversion and accurate financial reporting. Work instruction documentation for primary responsibilities and auditing of SOP's for designated back-up responsibilities. Prepare ad-hoc financial reports as requested by management by collecting, analyzing, and summarizing data trends. Assist with external financial audits and internal control audits as needed. Comply with federal, state, and local financial requirements in accordance with U.S. GAAP. Actively seek continuous improvement opportunities resulting in workflow efficiencies. Other duties and special projects as assigned. Skills and Experience: Bachelor's degree in Accounting or Finance Experience in a Manufacturing industry preferred, but not required. Familiarity with ERP systems, SAP is a plus Proficiency in Microsoft Excel and PowerPoint Working knowledge of U.S. GAAP Accounting principles Strong verbal communication and active listening skills Strong time management and organization skills with ability to multitask and prioritize Willingness to flex work hours 1-2 days per month to ensure reporting deadlines are met
