Position Overview: At Rectangle Health, we're looking for a Staff Accountant to support our growing team. A successful candidate is detail oriented, has a passion for learning, and an understanding of accounting intricacies. You will be responsible for all day-to-day accounting transactions, the backbone of our financials. You will work closely with the Senior Accountant and Assistant Controller to ensure we're reporting accurately in accordance with GAAP. Primary Job Duties: Enter daily cash transactions. Maintain accounts payable for all subsidiaries and ensure vendor information is up to date. Create and post journal entries to ensure all business transactions are recorded. Confirm intercompany accounts balance and resolve out of balances. Reconcile credit card transactions and request receipts for each department. Process check requests. Review and approve expense reports in Concur daily for reimbursements. Perform monthly reconciliations for P&L and Balance Sheet accounts. Minimum Qualifications: 3+ years of accounting experience. Strong analytical and problem-solving skills. Attention to detail. Demonstrated success working in a deadline driven and multi-tasking environment. Ability to work independently in a rapidly changing environment. Demonstrated knowledge of GAAP, A/P, and AR. Advanced Excel skills. Excellent written and verbal communication skills. Bachelor's degree in accounting required. Experience in healthcare payment services, RCM and/or SaaS software platforms preferred. Excellent numerical and analytical skills. Desire to consistently exceed expectations and take on more responsibility. Experience with month end close. Knowledge of Salesforce CRM, NetSuite, Concur a plus.
