Our firm is hiring an associate attorney who will support us by conducting legal research, drafting documents, maintaining client files, and assisting with legal counsel. The ideal candidate will have some courtroom experience and strong legal research and writing skills. Responsibilities: • Keep files organized to make sure the most recent updates are accessible to other attorneys, paralegals, and staff • Review client issues on legal matters, analyze available options, and diligently work to determine the best course of action • Communicate with senior associates, paralegals, and clients to ensure cases are handled efficiently • Prepare correspondence and legal documents such as contracts, pleadings, briefs, affidavits, motions, and settlement agreements for contract negotiations and proceedings • Conduct legal research, prepare for and attend hearings and/or other legal proceedings, and provide legal counsel with the help of senior associate attorneys The responsibilities for the position include but are not limited to the following: • Exceeding billable hour requirements. • Performing Client Needs Assessments. • Developing case strategic case plans for the client's matter relative to the client's budget. • Communicating with clients. • Preparing for and attending court hearings and trials. • Drafting all manner of pleadings. • Communicating with opposing counsel and court professionals. • Drafting correspondence. • Working closely with support staff to ensure effectiveness and client satisfaction. • Conducting legal research, preparing for and attending hearings and other legal proceedings, and providing legal counsel with the help of senior associate attorneys. • Keeping files organized to make sure the most recent updates are accessible to other attorneys, paralegals, and staff. • Preparing correspondence and legal documents such as contracts, pleadings, briefs, affidavits, motions, and settlement agreements for contract negotiations and proceedings. • Collaborating with clients, senior associates, and other staff to move cases toward resolution efficiently. • Analyzing conflicts in legal matters, advising clients on solutions, and negotiating on behalf of clients.
