Senior Cost Accountant

Overview Location: Hybrid - 2 days in Office, Greensburg, PA  Job Type: Full Time / Permanent Work Authorization: No Sponsorship The A.C. Coy company has an immediate opening for a Senior Cost Accountant. Ideal candidates will have a Bachelor's degree in accounting or finance, at least 5 years' work experience with cost accounting or manufacturing, and can perform every-day accounting functions including revenue accounting, project budgeting, and reconciliations. Responsibilities Perform accounting functions for revenue and cost, commissions, loss job reserves, liquidated damages, and reconciliations Maintain cost databases and cost tracking files Manage Oracle Projects module for accounting Prepare and maintain monthly percent complete schedules for projects Prepare and provide percent complete accounting entries and reconciliations Prepare percent of completion balance sheet information for Financial Planning Prepare and provide monthly data on project cost information Advise on cost issues and recommend corrective actions Lead process to collect, explain, and present percent complete information to internal and external auditors Ensure compliance with policies, procedures, and accounting standards Qualifications Education Required Bachelor's degree in accounting or finance Experience Required: 5 years' work experience with cost accounting or manufacturing Basic accounting abilities including revenue accounting, project budgeting, and reconciliations Strong analytical and critical thinking skills High level of knowledge of ERP project ad manufacturing cost systems
