Description Department: Biz Planning & Ops Supervisor: Sr. Director of Corporate Finance FLSA Status: Salary Position Status: Permanent, Full-time Work Status: Hybrid General Accounting Manager/Credit and Financial Reporting Manager This is your chance to join the rapidly growing commercial solar energy business. FLEXRACK by Qcells is an integrated solar company that offers custom-designed, fixed tilt ground mount and single-axis solar tracking systems in the commercial and utility-scale solar mounting industries. FLEXRACK by Qcells also offers full services, including engineering, geotechnical, pullout testing, field, and layout design services to address the actual site conditions of a project site. Solar FlexRack has completed over 3.5 GW of solar racking installations in over 40 U.S. states, 9 Canadian provinces and across the globe. SUMMARY As part of the broader accounting team, the General Accounting Manager/Credit and Financial Reporting Manager would be responsible for assisting the finance department in creating accurate and timely financial records for the organization. Under the supervision of the Head of Finance, this position is responsible for the duties of accounting and related tax within their sphere of influence, including but, not limited to accounts receivable, accounts payable, credit monitoring, preparing and posting of journal entries and preparing of various account and tax reconciliations. This position reports to the Sr. Director of Corporate Finance, or another management personnel that the President of the Company may designate. This position is located in Cleveland, Ohio and working hours are Monday through Friday, from 8:00am to 5:00pm or 9:00am to 6:00pm local time. Overtime and weekend working hours may be required as needed. This position is expected to travel up to 25%. (Required to work from the Cleveland office 3 times a week and Youngstown office once a week) ESSENTIAL JOB FUNCTION & RESPONSIBILITIES Month-end Prepare internal financial statement file including income statement, balance sheet, cash flow statement, AR analysis, etc Reconcile various GL accounts see closing checklist Journal Entries see closing checklist Prepare, compile and distribute HQ financial reporting package monthly internal transactions file, TB financial statements, AR detail report Prepare quarterly footnotes and cash flow statement for HQ reporting Full cycle accounts receivable Review work of accounting analyst for customer invoicing, customer set up, credit application processing, etc Weekly AR review and follow up with customers Lien waiver review and processing Credit review on new and existing customers Reconcile and post customer payments and all cash transactions daily Review project pipeline weekly to ensure new customers credit is being reviewed Customer Purchase Orders Review customer purchase orders for sales tax implications and payment terms Ensure all customer purchase orders have been vetted on customer credit worthiness Inventory Assist with coordination and execution of annual physical inventory Assist with standard cost calculation review / update Monthly purchase price variance review and standard cost updating Tax Calculate/File sales & use tax monthly for various states ( and may extend states) California Washington DC Georgia North Carolina South Carolina Virginia Canada HST/GST monthly calculation and filing Payroll and review bi-weekly payroll Backup to HR for processing payroll Commissions Calculate monthly commissions and provide statements to salespeople Review projects for commission splits Any other job-related duty as deemed appropriate by management.
