Job Description: Rely on experience and judgment to plan and accomplish goals. Independently perform a variety of complicated tasks. Work with a team of Oracle/SQLServer DBAs. Communicate clearly and effectively, both in speaking and in writing. Perform installations of database-related software. (including database upgrades and patching). Monitor databases to maintain/ensure database uptime and availability. Troubleshoot application/database issues related to connectivity, access, security and etc. Tune long-running SQL using AWR/ASH/ADDM/Profiler and etc. Review & refine existing database tasks and processes to better align with agency/group priorities. Perform database migrations between multiple releases of Oracle12c,19c, and 21c using data pump export/import, and RMAN database duplication procedures. .Working Experience in OCI/ Exadata Design, Migration, and Administrative support Leverage & utilize cron and O/S scripting in support of database maintenance/diagnosis/support. Review the existing database implementation and propose, execute, and/or direct necessary changes. The successful candidate will be capable of performing an analysis of the effectiveness of the existing system and clearly communicating reasoned justification for continuance and update or alternative approaches. Qualifications: Over 5 years of experience in maintaining/supporting Oracle databases. Bachelors Degree in Computer Science, Information Systems with strong technical experience or other applicable and equivalent skills, knowledge, and/or work history. Demonstrated experience in communicating effectively using standard requirements and design artifacts. Desired knowledge: Oracle Database and Grid Infrastructure installation and upgrade versions 12c, 19c. Oracle database configuration reviews, audits, and troubleshooting on versions 12c 19c for all platforms supported by Oracle. Expert knowledge of Backup and Recovery solutions with RMAN, as well as logical backups and backup scripting. dvanced performance tuning skills with expertise on Oracle performance analysis tools such as ASH and AWR along with SQL Plan Baselines, SQL Profiles. Good understanding of the latest DB new features and ability in applying them to provide a measurable value to clients' systems. Experience with Exadata deployments, managing and maintaining Exadata/OCI environments. Knowledge and experience of Oracle Cloud Infrastructure and Exadata Cloud Service. Preferred Experience: Exadata / OCI Administration. Migrating DBs from OnPrem to OCI Exadata. dvanced database/SQL tuning concepts, DevOps, CI/CD.
