Software Engineering Manager

Employer: Presidio Networked Solutions, LLC. Position:Software Engineering ManagerLocation:One Penn Plaza, Suite 2501, New York, NY 10119Duties:Draw on experience as a lead developer using agile tools (JIRA, DevOPs), product management/development, cloud-based web development technologies (e.g., Python, Go, C#), JavaScript, relational databases & NoSQL databases, back-end development and open source technologies (e.g., Jersey, Spring), to manage delivery of software engineering solutions across the Presidio product portfolio. Lead a team of junior engineers and developers in engineering, development and delivery of distributed, fault-tolerant applications with particular attention to security, scalability, performance, cost optimization, quality assurance and project management. Drive technical excellence and implementation of best engineering practices such as design review, continuous integration and test-drive development. Ensure adoption of best-in-class quality assurance techniques and ensure delivery of quality solutions and products. Assemble and present technology delivery pitches to senior technical and non-technical audiences. Support pre-sales and solutions teams on business development initiatives. May telecommute to New York, NY from any continental U.S. location. Visa sponsorship not offered. Education & Experience: Bachelor's degree (U.S. or foreign) in computer applications, computer information systems, computer engineering, computer science, or a related field plus 8 years of post-bachelor's experience reflecting demonstrable ability in the skill set described above in a lead role.
