Description The AOS team is responsible for delivering the e-commerce systems and solutions that enable and support the buying experience on ( We build one of the slickest e-commerce sites in the world while keeping the Apple brand at the forefront in every aspect of the engineering. We are in search a Senior Frontend Engineer who has a strong foundation in core web technologies and extensive knowledge of Node.Js to develop and optimize our web-based application. NodeJS. You are a specialist in designing customer-facing UI and backend services using Node.js. Your works results in a stable, fast, and secure exchange of data between servers and end-users. Hands on experience working with the following: HTML or JavaScript or CSS Technical degree or related field of experience 7 plus years of industry experience. Preferred Qualifications JavaScript. You are an excellent nuts & bolts programmer who understands JavaScript's strengths, its limitations, and the direction in which it is evolving. NodeJS. An expert in crafting customer-facing UI and backend services using Node.js. Your works results in a stable, fast, and secure exchange of data between servers and end-users. HTML. You offer a proven grounding in using HTML accurately to support accessibility and to optimize asset loading on the page. CSS. You have ownership working with sophisticated CSS features and can provide technological leadership around safely evolving large CSS code bases towards new technologies. Web Performance. You possess a strong mental model of how HTTP, HTML, CSS, and JS all work together in the browser to provide an optimal user experience. You have direct experience working with Web Vitals and browser devtools to solve performance issues. HTTP. You understand the central role HTTP plays in website performance and security. You have working knowledge of newer HTTP standards and what those technologies actually provide. Large project experience. You have a track record of driving significant positive changes inside large critically important code bases, particularly e-commerce sites. You are excellent at refactoring code with care, minimizing bugs and regressions. Pay & Benefits At Apple, base pay is one part of our total compensation package and is determined within a range. This provides the opportunity to progress as you grow and develop within a role. The base pay range for this role is between $175,800 and $312,200, and your base pay will depend on your skills, qualifications, experience, and location. Apple employees also have the opportunity to become an Apple shareholder through participation in Apple's discretionary employee stock programs.
