This position serves as a Custodial Worker for AFO at the Office of Scientific and Technical Information (OSTI), Oak Ridge, Tennessee. Responsibilities Supports the project Safety Plan through personal involvement in all aspects of safety, including training and attention to the adherence to safety requirements pertaining to particular trades. Cleaning vinyl tile, other floors and vacuuming rugs and carpets along with Waxing floors Emptying trash and recycle cans Dusting high and low surfaces Restocking of paper products (e. g. toilet tissue, towels, hygiene products, etc.) Maintaining a thorough supply inventory Using equipment, commercial vacuums, floor buffers and carpet cleaners Processing trash and recycling Outside cleaning as required Collection of trash and recycling from remote buildings and walk paths on site. Incidental Snow and Ice Removal Support. Assisting in moving furniture. Mowing, Trimming, and Weed Control Performs other tasks as necessary. Qualifications Valid state driver's license Three years' work experience in O&M services. Verbal and written communication skills Preferred Qualification: High school diploma or equivalent. Work Conditions: Work is performed indoors and outdoors. Outdoors work is subject to temperature extremes and inclement weather conditions. Work hours are subject to change, with overtime work as needed Tasks may be performed on uneven, inclines, hand and soft-carpeted floors, cement structures and surfaces, on roofs or on ladders for extended periods of time.
