Accounting Manager Onsite Position Trenton, NJ This role will be responsible for leading the accounting department, overseeing complex accounting activities, including general ledger preparation, financial reporting, year-end audit preparation, and the support of budget and forecast activities. The ideal candidate will possess strong leadership skills, exceptional analytical abilities, and a comprehensive understanding of accounting principles. Responsibilities: Manage all accounting operations including Billing, A/R, A/P, GL, Cost Accounting, and Revenue Recognition. Prepare and analyze monthly, quarterly, and annual financial statements. Develop and present financial reports to ownership and executives as needed. Manage the general ledger, including journal entries, reconciliations, and adjustments. Analyze financial statements for discrepancies and other issues. Ensure quality control over financial transactions and financial reporting. Manage and execute month-end and year-end close process. Coordinate more complex accounting projects and initiatives with other members of the accounting and finance team or with other departments. Contribute to the development of new or amended accounting systems, programs, and procedures. Perform annual audits and provide recommendations for improving procedures and systems for initiating corrective actions. Develop and document business processes and accounting policies to maintain and strengthen Qualifications: Bachelor's degree in accounting, finance, or a related field. Experience in the construction industry highly preferred. Strong understanding of Generally Accepted Accounting Principles (GAAP). Experience with accounting software, ERP systems, and databases ( ViewPoint Vista Expertise a plus ) Excellent analytical, problem-solving, and decision-making skills. Attention to detail and an ability to work independently and collaboratively. Strong organizational and communication skills. Experience: Minimum of 8-10 years of accounting experience, with at least 5 years in a senior or supervisory role. Certifications (Preferred but not mandatory): Certified Public Accountant (CPA) or Certified Management Accountant (CMA) designation.
