Structural Engineer

Needed immediately: Selectek is looking for a Structural Engineerí‚ in Alpharetta, GA.í‚ Required: Bachelorí¢â‚¬â„¢s Degree in Civil Engineering 5-7+ years of relevant experience in heavy industrial structural design, preferably in a consulting environment EIT status or Registered as a Professional Engineer Excellent communication skills (interpersonal and written) and proven ability to collaborate with team members in a multi-disciplined environment Technical competence and strong attention to detail Proven leadership and mentoring ability Knowledge of U.S. steel design codes, familiarity with Canadian codes desirable Experience in design of structures with seismic demand. Experience in design of shallow and deep foundations for buildings, industrial structures and heavy equipment. Experience in the Pulp & Paper industry and Chemical Manufacturing preferred RISA 3D experience is a plus Job Details: A successful candidate will be responsible for preliminary and detailed design of heavy industrial structures including concrete foundations, steel structures, and buildings. Duties include estimating project costs; complex analysis and calculations; reviewing designs, drawings, and specifications; performing structural assessments/inspections; and preparing reports, proposals and contract documentation. You will be responsible for supervising and coordinating the activity of other engineers and team members to ensure projects are completed within allotted schedules and budgets, and to high quality standards. You will also continually foster and grow strong relationships with our clients.
