This world-class factory will be built from the ground up to produce a wide variety of some of the most trusted and beloved pet care brands in the U.S. Our passionate team in Williamsburg Township will work in an environment that values safety, the latest technology in manufacturing and a culture of learning. As a Controls Technical Specialist II, you will be responsible for troubleshooting, maintaining and enhancing the accuracy, reliability and system controls data credibility of PLC and PC-based automation systems. In this role, you will oversee PLC upgrades and wiring modifications on production equipment and work directly with our maintenance team to troubleshoot and support production line modifications. The first several months of this role are project related with the goal of planning and developing the department as we approach operational startup. This position will require travel up to 25% for training purposes to other Nestle Purina factory locations within the U.S. There will be little to no travel required once the Williamsburg Township facility is operational. This position will start out working a Monday-Friday, 8am-5pm schedule. Once the facility reaches operation, the schedule will adjust to working plant operational schedule of 2-2-3 (2 days on, 2 days off, 3 days on). Configure, program and troubleshoot Programmable Logic Controls (PLC) Perform Preventive Maintenance for controls and organize electrical/control parts inventory Provide programming and electrical support on plant capital projects Implement control systems software upgrade Provide instrumentation, PLC, HMI/SCADA and Ignition software and hardware support to plant maintenance staff Requirements High School Diploma or equivalent required 4+ years' experience in PLC software and hardware troubleshooting and/or PLC-based HMI-system OR Associate's Degree in a technical discipline 3+ years' applicable experience in PLC software and hardware troubleshooting and/or PC-based HMI systems Other Associates degree in a technical discipline preferred Must be willing to travel up to 25% for training purposes until factory operational startup. Please note that the pay range provided is a good faith estimate for the position at the time of posting.
