This part-time position's responsibilities include the following: Manage bookkeeping and accounting processes, including, but not limited to A/P, A/R, recording payroll, deposits, credit card expenses and online transactions to General Ledger in accordance to GAAP Record, bill and track billable member activity Reconcile unearned memberships monthly Reconcile bank and credit card accounts Partner with Treasurer to prepare monthly financial statements for the Finance Committee and Board of Trustees Prepare annual 1099 reporting process for vendors. Liaison with external payroll provider (Paychex) Support Executive Director and Treasurer with annual budget preparation Respond to questions raised by Executive Director, Board Chair and Treasurer in a timely manner. Perform non-routine tasks requiring strong judgment and initiative Hours: 10 hours a month Hourly rate: $40 Flexible hours and ability to work a hybrid schedule, remotely and in office weekly to generate checks, meet with staff, etc. Reports to: Executive Director Qualifications: Minimum of 3 years experience with nonprofit bookkeeping/accounting Able to work independently and efficiently Able to spend 2 - 3 hours a week in our Cambridge-based (Fresh Pond)
