Summary The Production Procurement Manager oversees the logistics procurement of goods and services in the US East Coast subsidiaries located in Alabama & Georgia while ensuring timely and cost-effective acquisition and maintaining the highest quality standards. The Manager will strategically procure logistic products and services using the subsidiaries combined purchasing power to apply economies of scale, improving supplier management, cross-functional collaboration, cost savings, and continuous improvements. Responsibilities Overall Procurement Activities Establishing a comprehensive procurement strategy for the East Coast subsidiaries including automotive parts transportation, C/C, shuttle transportation, etc. Creating a standard transportation cost for production logistics Develop and implement procurement processes for automotive parts transportation, warehousing, outsourcing consolidation center, shuttle transportation, material handling, and logistic-related equipment, labor, etc. Creating long-term procurement strategies for vendor outsourcing and services Manage potential automotive logistic vendor pool and standardize all subsidiaries' processes Manage overall RFX processes, cost management, contract management, vendor management, and evaluation Supporting sales activities of each subsidiary through getting quotation from vendors Responsible for the unique and specific procurement requirements of subsidiary logistics Establish a standard cost management system for each subsidiary and secure unit price competitiveness Manage the GPMS in East Coast procurement activities (GPMS: Glovis Procurement Management System) Responsible for leading, managing, retaining and training the procurement team members Procurement Status Management Compile and aggregate logistics service contract schedules of each east coast subsidiary Manage the inbound/outbound trucking contract AP cost of each subsidiary regularly Report the procurement status of each subsidiary to the appropriate leadership regularly Report the results of market and supplier research to the appropriate leadership regularly Contact Glovis Americas HQ and work with them when cooperation is needed in terms of logistics procurement project/task Develop procurement plans and spend analysis for each subsidiary Market Analysis: Research and analyze market trends, supplier capabilities, and industry best practices to inform procurement decisions Compliance: Ensure compliance with relevant regulations, policies, and procedures governing procurement activities Data Analysis and Reporting: Generate reports and analyze procurement data to provide insights, monitor performance, and support decision-making Cross-functional collaboration: Collaborate with internal stakeholders, including operations, finance, legal, and logistics team Benefits of Working at Hyundai GLOVIS America Inc. All benefits pursuant to Company policy Qualifications Skills & Qualifications High knowledge of the United States logistics and transportation industry preferred Proved experience with planning and strategy in a large international corporation preferred Strong analytics skills with the ability to interpret data and make informed decisions required Excellent communication and negotiation skills, with the ability to build and maintain effective relationships with suppliers and internal stakeholders preferred Proficiency in procurement software and tools, MS Office Suite, and database management required Knowledge of relevant regulations and best practices in procurement and supply chain management preferred Detail-oriented with strong organizational and time management skills required Critical thinking, planning, problem-solving, and organizational skills preferred Thorough understanding of sourcing and procurement methodologies: including spend analysis, supplier screening, benchmarking, clean-sheet costing, negotiations, supplier performance management, scorecards, contracting, and cost-savings preferred Education & Experience Bachelor's Degree Required Master's Degree Preferred 7 - 10 Years of Direct Experience in Procurement, Supply Chain Management, and/or Logistics Required 8 - 13 Years of Direct Experience Preferred Logistics Procurement and/or Transportation Procurement Experience Preferred 1 - 3 Years of Supervisory Experience Required 4 - 7 Years of Supervisory Experience Preferred CPSM, CPIM, CPL, PMI Preferred Physical Requirements Ability to sit in front of a desk and/or in front of the computer for long periods Repetitive use of hand/grasping product, writing, and typing Lift up to 20lbs Carry up to 20lbs Stand/walk Reasonable accommodations may be made to enable individuals with disabilities to perform the essential functions of this job.
