Come join us!Seltzer's is looking for a Driverto join our Warehouse team in our Palmyra, PA location. Reporting to the Logistics Supervisor, the CDL Driver will be responsible for delivering Seltzer's products regionally using a tractor trailer from our facility in Palmyra. This requires excellent driving skills as well as an individual who keeps clean, organized records and possesses strong people skills.The ideal candidate has strong people skills - you are the last face the customer sees as a representative of the company. You should have a willingness to comply with rules and regulations, be consistent and truthful, keeping organized logs and reports. Some degree of mechanical skills may be needed when collaborating with maintenance. The ability to operate material handling equipment or a manual pallet jack, and the ability to adapt to new technologies. Math skills for calculating bills of lading and for understanding customer documentation. Ability to lift, push andor move items up to 75 pounds on a repetitive basis. Ability to work normal andor extended (evenings, nights, weekends, holidays) office hours to meet established deadlines.Some responsibilities include:Performs safety checks of brakes, tires, steering column, lights and mirrors on the tractor prior to each leg of the journey to ensure road readiness Performs safety checks of the lights, air systems, flooring components, roof components, sidewalls, reefer unit and rear guard on the trailer prior to each leg of the journey to ensure road readiness and product integrityAccurately recording drive times as well as delivery timesAssist in unloading cargo when delivery sites are understaffed, maintaining product quality throughout transportationAdhere to traffic safety regulations at all times and exercise caution in treacherous circumstancesPrompt communication of any delays or issues to Plant Manager and Warehouse Supervisor.Count product during loading andor unloading to ensure physical count matches Bill of Lading or Invoices.Requirements:High school diploma or GEDCDL License - Class A Two years of experience working as a CDL driver with no legal or safety incidents on recordDrug Screening and background check passSeltzer's is an Equal Opportunity Employer
