Box Truck Driver

Hours: Full-time Position, shift begins at 5:45am, occasional overtime andor weekend hours will be required based on operational needsLocation: CANTON, GASummary: Summit Stairs & Millwork Inc. is hiring box truck drivers responsible for safe and efficient transportation of stairs and millwork products to customers in a manner that meets customer requirements. This position reports directly to the Shipping Manager.SalaryBenefits: Starting $17-20hour, commensurate with education and work experience. Benefits include health & dental insurance, paid holidays and paid time off.Responsibilities:Complete pre-trip and post-trip inspections and properly document all vehicle maintenance problems and defects in ply with all Department of Transportation standards and regulations and maintain flawless driving record.Keep up with all gas receipts for monthly audits.Load and unload products from the truck and verify contents against work order and Shipping Ticket, which include verifying count and condition on goods unloaded; and accurate report all overages, shortages, and breakagedamage.Email pictures of products for proof of delivery.Build and ensure excellent customer service by consistently delivering orders on time and in good condition and by acting in a courteous and professional manner.Report customer needs and concerns to Shipping Manager.Minimum Qualifications:Current valid driver's license and MVR Report requiredRegular & reliable attendance requiredMust be able to drive up to a 20ft box truckMust be able to operate hand trucks, stairs, ramps, and docks & handle a pallet jackMust be able to move items Able to frequently climb or balance, stoop, kneel, crouch, or crawlMust have specific vision abilities that include close vision, distance vision, and the ability to judge distance.Must have cellular phone for GPS and for emailing pictures of products delivered for proof of delivery.Job Type: Full-timePay: $17.00 - $20.00 per hourExpected hours: No less than 40 per weekBenefits:Dental insuranceHealth insurancePaid time offVision insuranceDay range:Monday to FridayShift availability:Day Shift (Required)
