Job description # ABA Homebased Counselor # Melmark Overview Melmark is a nonprofit organization providing clinically-sophisticated evidence-based special education, residential, vocational, and therapeutic services for children and adults diagnosed with autism spectrum disorders, developmental and intellectual disabilities, acquired brain injuries, medical complexities, and other neurological and genetic disorders. ABA Homebased Counselor Overview Join our team as an ABA Counselor where you#ll play a vital role in providing direct instructionintervention to assigned clients in the clients# home environments.# He or she will assist in developing teaching plans that are appropriate to the ages and populations served, specifically children and adolescents (ages 3-21 years) with emotional, developmental andor behavioral needs. Melmark New England serves children, adolescents and adults with autism spectrum disorders, acquired brain injury, neurological diseases and disorders, comorbid mental health disorders and severe needs. # ABA Homebased Counselor Schedule and Salary Information $25 per hour (per diem) Monday to Friday schedule afterschool hours Location: Bedford NH ABA Homebased Requirements # Bachelor#s Degree in Education, Human Service Field, or Psychology Valid US driver#s license and minimum age of 21 Strong interpersonal and teaching skills Experience or interest in Applied Behavior Analysis and special education preferred # ABA Homebased Counselor Responsibilities Provides programming hours to client as specified in client#s Treatment Plan and per scheduled requirement. Accurate data collection per target behavior and instruction, including data as part of initial and ongoing assessment for development of Treatment Plan or Functional Behavior Analysis. Ensures that targeted skills are addressed during each home session. Maintain a clean and safe classroom environment Collaborate with interdisciplinary team members to support student growth and development
