The Accountant for Special Projects role in Auburn, MA, US entails providing support to the home office and site staff with accounting, company projects, and daily tasks under the guidance of the Senior Vice President. Responsibilities: • Lead projects in collaboration with the Senior Vice President, HR Manager, accounting team, and site staff, ensuring that new project development is timely, successful, and meets expectations. • Participate in new project development and the implementation of project-related activities for the company and/or sites. • Document, distribute, and maintain current reports on project development and progress, meeting minutes, decisions, schedules, budgets, and other pertinent records pertaining to all projects. • Implement and manage tasks in accordance with project objectives, and company guidelines, and set timelines; recommend alternative courses of action and implement changes when necessary. • Assist staff with their project-specific activities in a timely and efficient manner, develop project plans, compile and analyze data, produce project reports, maintain project plans, and schedule meetings. • Project leader and partner on all company, site, and IT improvements, procedures, corporate initiatives, rollouts, and special projects. • Research and develop solutions to company and business concerns presented by the team. Qualifications: • A minimum of 3 years in a professional environment is preferred. • Strong computer skills with proficiency in MS Teams and Office. • Proven organizational skills with the ability to set priorities manage multiple projects and meet deadlines. Adaptability to changing demands. • Self-starter capable of finding solutions with minimal supervision. • Strong communication skills and ability to interact with co-workers, site staff, or vendors in an articulate, courteous, and business-like manner at all times. • Ability to multitask and work under pressure. • Ability to work independently, as well as part of a team. • Effective problem-solving skills. • Experience with Property Management accounting software preferred. Yardi preferred. • Knowledge or ability to learn database accounting systems. • Valid driver's license.
