Position: Dietary Aide The Cypress of Hilton Head is actively seeking a hospitality-focused Dietary Aide to join our dedicated team. Our community offers various healthcare services, including two long-term skilled neighborhoods, one short-term skilled neighborhood, and one memory support neighborhood. As we expand, we are looking for passionate individuals to support our healthcare team. The Dietary Aide plays a vital role in transporting food from our main kitchen and serving our residents, requiring comfort in a fast-paced and caring environment. Exceptional customer service skills and a passion for working with seniors are crucial. Our commitment to the safety and care of our residents and team is our top priority. The starting rate is $16 per hour, tiered based on experience. Essential Functions: * Update the daily diet and supplement report with new orders. * Attend dietary meetings as scheduled. * Maintain and complete a selective menu for all residents. * Assistread to the residents requiring assistance to complete the menu selection and identify appropriate alternative selections or substitutions. * Complete all side duties as assigned. * Inform residents of any menu selection changes and substitutions. * Ensure the accuracy of trays prior to delivery to the resident's room. * Photocopy necessary formsmenus used by the Dietary staff. * Operate all Kitchen equipment safely, according to established policies and procedures. * Understand the responsibility to report suspected violations of The Cypress Code of Conduct. * Take appropriate precautions to avoid job-related injuries and comply with injury reporting guidelines. * Actively participate in safety programs and comply with The Cypress Club policies and procedures. * Look for ways to continuously improve safety for members, staff, and visitors. * Maintain kitchen sanitation per DHEC Rules & Regulations. Educational Requirements: High School diploma or equivalent preferred. Must be able to read, write, speak English, and perform simple math calculations. Physical Requirements and Working Conditions: Works indoors; must be able to standwalk for 100% of the workday; must be able to lift and carry menu sets and stock weighing up to 25 lbs. independently; must be able to sit for several hours at a time and have good manual dexterity to use a writing implement. Must be able to bend, stoop, reach, and balance frequently throughout the workday. May be exposed to industrial cleaning chemicals, communicable diseases including the HIV and Hepatitis B virus, and offensive odors. Expected hours: 40 per week.
