Class B CDL Driver

We are a high paced company seeking a dependable and efficient CDL driver who possesses a great deal of physical and mental stamina able to withstand long hours on the road. Must be organized, detailed oriented, and comfortable working independently. A clean driving record and commercial driving experience is a must.We are located in Virginia Beach, VA! We are offering a relocation package to qualified candidates!CDL Truck Driver Job Duties and Responsibilities:Fully understand how to operate and safely drive your assigned vehicleDrive vehicles with a Gross Vehicle Weight (GVW) over 26,000 lbs.Ensure contents are properly secured in a truck, flatbed to prevent damageinjuryObtain signatures to confirm and complete any deliveriesAssist in mapping driving routesStay on a predetermined route and ensure timely transport and deliveryCommunicate with dispatch as neededPerform inspections of your vehicle prior to and following each tripCheck weather conditions and road reports before departureAlways ensure your vehicle is kept cleanMaintain and service vehicle as needed (refuel, change oil, tire pressure, repairs, etc.)Notify managers of any major maintenance or delivery issues encounteredTrack and report working hoursAdhere to company rules and regulationsObey all applicable traffic laws and drive in according to the weatherroad conditionsComply with ICC and DOT regulationsMake safety a priority at all timesCDL Truck Driver Requirements and Qualifications:High school diploma or GED equivalent preferredValid commercial driver's license (CDL) required2+ years of proven experience in commercial truck driving preferredClean driving record with no moving violationsMust pass a background check and drug testSkilled at driving and parking large, heavy vehiclesAlert, focused, and detail-orientedPhysically and mentally fitAbility to lift up to 50 lbs. at a timePossess great physical stamina and focus during long driving shiftsComfortable with long-haul transportAble to operate an electric lift, hand trucks, pallet jacks, etc.Proficient using GPS and other routing systemsMap reading and route planning experienceAn innate sense of directionSelf-starter who works well independentlyDisciplined, dependable, and resourcefulHigh level of composure and good stress management
