Other duties may be assigned.Delivery drivers are indirectly supervised by the outside salesman of the route, delivery drivers are to follow instructions of outside salesman concerning all deliveries, pickups, routing and customers on the route.Pick up and deliver parts and equipment to customers, vendors and other Hunter branches.Check with the parts manager, outside salesman, inventory control administrator, parts counter people, or shipping and receiving person before leaving to coordinate any last minute pick-ups or deliveries.Verify that invoice matches purchase order for each pick-up.Unload truck each night. Turn in all paperwork and undelivered parts.Handle basic maintenance of the truck including filling tank with gas, checking oil, keeping it clean, and making sure required inspections are performed.Before leaving on your route, work with shippingreceiving person to check your delivery vehicle to verify part numbers and quantities match the customer invoice.Verify part numbers and quantities, unloaded from your vehicle, to the customer, match the customer invoice. Any errors, you will be responsible to correct when possible, up to returning to the store and taking missing part to customer.Outside salesman and customer must be notified immediately of any shortages or undeliverable parts.Responsible to ensure all cashC.O.D. invoices delivered are paid in full.Keep an accurate log of daily deliveries and pick-ups. Obtain recipient's signature on each delivery entry.Advise parts manager if delivery trucks need major repairs and maintenance.Keep delivery vehicle clean, cab and cargo area is always neat and organized.Maintains professional appearance and attitude, promotes all Hunter branches, departments and co-workers in positive terms and is compliant with all customer rules while on their property.Ask customers at each stop if they have anything to return including any core inventory.Driver receipt must be written for every return, all returns must be tagged with customer information and copy of receipt. All warranty returns must have warranty sheet completed and returned with the failed part.Proper operation of equipment to safety and productivity requirements, including but not limited to: lift truck or hand trucks to convey, move or hoist materials to proper departments or areas. Proper use of personal protective equipment is required. Operate all machinery, tools and equipment in a safe manner.
