Responsibilities Forest View Hospital, located just seven miles southeast of downtown Grand Rapids, Michigan, is a private 108 bed psychiatric facility that serves children, adolescents and adults. We are licensed by the State of Michigan, fully accredited by The Joint Commission and we bring more than 45 years of experience to the evaluation, diagnosis and treatment of a wide range of behavioral health problems. As a part of our continued success and growth, we are seeking qualified applicants for a Telehealth Runner - Onsite, Full Time Under the direction of a Physician, Nurse Practitioner or Physician Assistant, the Telehealth Runner provides administrative support to the provider for virtual visits by proactively anticipating the provider needs, preparing the patient for the virtual visit, and maintaining efficient patient flow. Essential Job Requirements: * Sets up iPadLaptop for effective flow of virtual patient visits (up to 30 visitsday). * Preps patient charts for physician, ensuring lab work, test results and previous visit notes are readily available prior to visit. * Acts as primary communication liaison between the provider and other hospital teams to ensure continuity of care. * Obtains verbal consent for special orders upon request. * Provides additional administrative support to the clinic or units as needed. * Cross trains in nursing admin to assist with various projects outside of running hours. * All other duties as assigned. KnowledgeSkillsAbilities: * HS Diploma or equivalent, some college preferred. * Excellent verbal and written communication skills. * 1 year of previous experience in a medical setting. * Proficient computer skills. * Effective time management & organizational skills. * Ability to problem solve. * Resourcefulness and ability to multi-task. * Attention to detail. * Active listening skills. * Empathy toward psychiatric patient(s) and how they are feeling. Education and Experience Qualifications: * High school graduate or equivalent required. * Previous work experience in providing support to psychiatric patients in an inpatient or outpatient setting highly preferred. * CPRFirst Aid Training.
