General Manager

The Ewald Automotive Group has an unparalleled opportunity an experienced General Manager. We are in our 60 th consecutive year as a family-owned dealership group in the greater Milwaukee area. Our growth has created this opportunity and we are looking for that candidate who has a robust background in automotive sales, finance and management along with a documented history of enhancing profitability and elevating customer satisfaction while being a developer of people and a team leader. Key Responsibilities: Strategic Leadership to develop and implement operational plans to achieve dealership objectives in sales, profitability and customer satisfaction. Oversee day-to-day operations of the dealership both front-end and fixed operations. Develop and lead a team of departmental managers to achieve operational results. Understand and manage all metrics of success in a dealership through proper financial management of daily operating controls and financial statements. Merchandise and manage aa inventory of new and used vehicles to achieve proper inventory turns and avoid aged inventory. Understand local market conditions, demographics and competitive environment. Hands-on management of the business office operations with focus on achieving budgeted yield per transaction. Qualifications: Five plus years of General Manager experience in the automotive industry. Demonstrated success in achieving sales and profit objectives. Strong understanding of parts and service management and metrics of profitability. Prior experience to recruit, train, develop and manage a full store team. Professional educational development. Master communicator with employees and customers. Prior experience with CDK, vAuto, Vin Solutions, x-Time would be extremely valuable. Compensation and Benefits: Competitive salary with performance-based incentives.
