Solutions Engineer

About the Role Pictorus is looking for a talented solutions engineer, experienced in Matlab and Simulink, to help create bespoke solutions and integrations for new and existing customers. This role is a hybrid engineering and sales position, where nurturing close relationships with clients is as critical as Matlab/Simulink engineering skills. Specifically, this role will help engineering teams looking to migrate from Simulink port their models into Pictorus. Additionally, as an eventual power user of Pictorus and client-facing teammate, you'll help develop our long term technical strategy to improve our offering, and your tooling. Ability to work in the US is required (no sponsorship available at this time). We're hybrid remote/onsite in uptown Oakland California, so SF Bay Area residents are preferred. Responsibilities Work directly with the CEO and VP Sales to identify solutions for new and existing customers Implement these solutions using the Pictorus platform. Own the client relationship, and be responsive to client requests. Work with sales, product, and engineering teams to define long term technical strategy. Up to 20% travel (domestic US) may be required depending on clients needs. $110,000 - $130,000 a year A candidate on the lower end of the salary range will have 2-3 years experience modeling physical systems in Matlab/Simulink, strong communication skills, and a desire to engage directly with clients. A higher end candidate will have 3-5 years experience, and some industry experience in client-facing or sales roles. Candidates with strong sales skills and some technical background with programming are also encouraged to apply. About the Team Pictorus is a software startup based in Oakland, California.
