DescriptionTITLE: Vehicle Body Tear Down - Disassembler Tech REPORTS TO: Production Manager/ Estimator or Body Shop Assist Mgr.POSITION Information:The Vehicle Body Tear Down - Dissembler Tech shall Meticulous Disassembly of all damaged Vehicles for Blue Printing.DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES:Remove sheet metal, glass and cosmetic parts.R&R Suspension Components.Meticulous Disassembly of all damaged parts for Blue Printing.General:Take instruction from, and answer to, the Production Manager / for time applied to each job daily by recording it on a time sheet.Maintain working area in clean-safe condition.Advise the A.B.S.M. or the Production Manager immediately of any potentially hazardous condition or damaged tools or equipment or building repairs.Continuously strive to improve efficiency in S/he own work area and the overall operation and be willing to participate in shop meetings and training programs, which are sponsored by the company.Cooperate with parts persons by promptly checking parts received for correctness and advising of any discrepancy.Advise A.B.S.M immediately of any hidden or missed damage which does not appear on an estimate or repair order.Treat customer's cars with respect and keep cloths, tools, and equipment clean so that their vehicles do not become unduly soiled or damaged.When in personal contact with any customer, maintain a polite courteous attitude and refer any problems to the A.B.S.M and or Production Manager.Maintain a good work attitude and cooperate with fellow employees.Qualifications:Ability to read and comprehend instructions and information. working knowledge of all aspects of repairs for damaged body parts and bodies of vehicles. Valid driver's license. Must have own tools. Ability to interpret vendor catalogs. Must maintain all O.E.M Manufacturer, ICAR Training. Two years of Body Shop Experience or Collision Tech School Training a Plus. Positive attitude.WORKING CONDITIONS:This is a physically demanding position. Will stand for six to eight hours per shift. Will lift parts and supplies weighing up to 100 pounds. Will be exposed to noise, vibration, dust, paint, exhaust & paint fumes, and other hazardous and non-hazardous materials.
