Job Description Senior Analyst, Controls and Governance JOB SUMMARY Reporting to the Sr. Manager Controls and Governance, this role will assist the Senior Manager in performing control walkthroughs, evaluating business processes for opportunities to create, enhance, or implement controls, and review control testing in accordance with AICPA standards over ICFRs. Additionally, the Senior Analyst will be involved in Enterprise Risk Management (ERM) data collection, and Environmental, Social, and Governance (ESG) control requirements research and implementation initiatives. RESPONSIBILITIES • Assist managing the Company's governance and internal control strategy, participating as an internal controls subject matter expert. • Analyze and evaluate internal controls related to financial risks. Develop and implement strategies and procedures to improve controls. • Coordinate the annual update of controls documentation with process owners and work with them to develop, maintain and review ICFR documentation. • Execute TTX's control and governance testing methodology and approach. Analyze the impact of corporate governance requirements and make recommendations to management. Develop additional test plans as needed, establish the scope of testing and determine sample sizes. • Initiate control walkthroughs, as needed. Oversee performance of controls testing, organize testing resources, and evaluate exceptions. • Provide oversight and training to Controls & Governance Intern. • Collaborate successfully with internal stakeholders, including finance, operations, and IT, to ensure a cohesive approach to controls and governance. • Assisting in performing quarterly access reviews to validate effective segregation of duties within the company's existing and modified financial systems. • Work on ERM initiatives to identify, assess, and mitigate risks across the organization. • Assist in the research, understanding, training, development, and implementation of ESG controls and governance to ensure compliance with applicable regulations. • Help create SOC1 reports for TTX systems that are used by 3rd parties, e.g. CRB (Car Repair Billing) and REV (Revenue Accounting). • Identify, lead, and deliver process improvement projects within Controllership. QUALIFICATIONS • Bachelor's degree in Accounting, Finance, Business Administration, or related field. • Minimum of 3-5 years of experience in internal controls, audit, compliance, or risk management. • CPA, CIA, CISA, CFE, or other relevant or equivalent certification. • Big 4 experience highly preferred. • Strong knowledge of Sarbanes-Oxley (SOX) compliance requirements or internal control frameworks (e.g. COSO, COBIT). • Familiarity with AuditBoard software, data visualization tools such as PowerBi, and/or Oracle Cloud Fusion is highly desirable. • Excellent analytical, problem-solving, and critical thinking skills. • Strong written and verbal communication skills, with the ability to present complex information clearly and concisely. • Ability to work independently and collaboratively in a team environment. PREFERRED SKILLS AND ABILITIES • Automation Risk Mitigation - Identify errors and potential risks in an automated finance process, assess causes and potential downstream errors, and prioritize solutions. • Business Support - Advises internal stakeholders on the implications changes and highlights any potential risks to internal controls and compliance. • Ability to work and think independently and has a strong work ethic with an attention to detail. • Ability to apply mathematical techniques to the audit process, including determination of sample sizes, and sampling theory. • Ability to collect, organize, and analyze data, establish facts, and draw valid conclusions. Ability to define problems and suggest practical remedies. Ability to interpret technical instructions.
