Job Description & Responsibilities We're seeking a skilled Accounting / Finance professional to join our team in Mountain View, CA, with the opportunity to grow rapidly with the startup and the core team. You will be the go-to person for quantifying the business impacts of strategic company decisions, playing a critical role in managing and optimizing the financial operations of our growing company. This position offers a unique opportunity to both understand deeply our hardware-based operations and to work closely with the CEO to develop strategic business milestones. The ideal candidate will have a strong background in accounting and also FP&A, with a strong attention to detail, ability to think out of the box, learn quickly, and the belief that no task is too small. Responsibilities: Manage vendor invoices in QBO, customer collections, track operational and manufacturing costs, calculate margins, and understand and answer key financial questions about the business. Perform past- and forward-looking financial modeling to support business decisions. Prepare and present financial statements, investor reports, and brief presentations. Grow very quickly as a core member of a fast-growing startup, assuming more responsibilities. Must have: High emotional & social intelligence: Possesses ability to network and learn from strangers, teach/explain concepts, and communicate empathetically through conflict. Deep desire to grow and learn. Bachelor's degree in Accounting, Finance, or very similar field. 1+ years of experience in auditing or public accounting. 2+ years of experience reporting directly to a CFO / VP Finance, as a finance manager, controller, or staff accountant or similar, for a company producing physical products. Proficiency in both accounting and financial modeling. Worked at a company with Nice to have: Saw and helped a company with a round of fundraising. Prepared investment materials and board presentation models and slides. Did accounting / financial modeling for a hardware robotics company. Experience in supply chain, warehousing, or manufacturing.
