Operations SupervisorHours: Full-time Monday-FridayPay: $25-30/hourLocation: Gaithersburg and Silver Spring, will need to be available for both officesType: Contract-to-hire; Permanent. Summary: The Operations Supervisor will work with and report to the Operations Manager and Project Director to oversee the company's TANF services in Maryland. The Operations Supervisor will focus on Quality Assessment and ensure that the services provided support the program participants and are compliant with vendor requirements. In partnership with the Operations Manager, facilitate team processes, communication, and staff satisfaction, and the provision of high-quality services to program participants.Promote a supportive culture committed to organizational goals, quality work, and accountability. Oversee the staff performance in both offices. Review staff performance and recommend corrective actions as needed. Provide feedback on activities to maximize performance & productivityEnsure full integration of all programmatic components to ensure seamless services to participants, with a focus on identifying potential challenges/areas for improvement and developing and implementing strategies to maximize participant success.Lead, motivate, manage, and develop staff to foster an environment committed to continuous improvement.Identify and develop strategies to enhance staff satisfaction, including supporting professional development goals and creating activities that advance a positive work environment.Identify and lead special projects and initiatives that advance participant progress and goals.Analyze, evaluate, and utilize data to achieve programmatic goals and deliverables.Coordinate training activities to ensure that all operations staff are properly trained to implement project activities effectively.Maintain knowledge of applicable federal, state, and local laws, regulations, and policies related to welfare and workforce programs.Other duties as assignedQualifications: Bachelor's degree from a four-year college or university and four to six years of workforce development and/or social service experience or equivalent combination of education and experience.Minimum of 5 years of experience working with under-resourced communities and supporting individuals experiencing significant barriers to employmentMinimum of 2 years of supervisory experience requiredKnowledge of Federal and State based assistance programs preferredAbility to interact with a broad intersection of community-based individuals and organizations. Strong critical thinking, organizational, and communication (oral and written) skillsAbility to prioritize multiple competing tasks and activitiesSelf-motivated and committed to personal and organizational excellenceDemonstrated ability to collaborate in a team environment, as well as work independentlyKnowledge of technical efficiencies, including ability to use Microsoft Office, databases, and on-line tools and resources.
