Position Summary The Continuous Improvement Intern is responsible for providing support to Mom's Meals Fulfillment centers with a primary focus on improving or implementing processes that influence safety, delivery, quality, and products. The Mom's Meals Summer Internship Program is a paid project-based 12-week program beginning May 19, 2025, and ending August 8, 2025. Our project-based internship program provides participants with the training, coaching, and hands-on experience to be successful professionals in their chosen fields. Our internship assignments focus on practical, value-added projects that help create a connection between what is learned in the classroom and what is required in analytic projects. Internship location will be onsite in our North Jackson, OH Fulfillment facility. Position Responsibilities may include, but not limited to Help support and maintain a continuous improvement culture across all fulfillment centers Analyze, identify, recommend, and implement solutions for reducing waste, production inefficiencies, and non-value-added activities Partner with plant leadership/site personnel on continuous improvement initiatives Lead or assist implementation of cost-related projects then monitor/track impact, including but not limited to cost-benefit analyses, financial validations, etc. Assist in the development of capital plans for projects to support business objectives Generate data/information for fulfillment leadership to enable more accurate, thorough operational decision making Lead smaller capital projects and lean initiatives through the early management process Required Skills and Experience Must be 18 years old at the time of the internship and be a sophomore or higher in an accredited university Minimum GPA of 3.0 Working towards a degree in Engineering or related field Candidate must possess strong problem-solving abilities Excellent oral and written communication skills Ability to effectively communicate with all levels of leadership General computer knowledge including proficiency with Microsoft Excel Ability to occasionally work flexible shifts to support three shift operations Travel as business need requires, up to 15% Preferred Skills and Experience Engineering or Continuous Improvement experience Experience in a manufacturing, distribution or fulfillment environment with proven problem solving and project management experience/skills Physical Requirements Regularly required to use hands to feel, grab, or operate objects, tools, and controls while reaching with hands and arms Frequently required to stand, communicate, and listen Occasionally required to walk, stoop, kneel or crouch Occasionally lift and/or move up to 50 pounds Visual perception to perform job including peripheral vision, depth perception, and the ability to adjust focus Able to perform repetitive movements Able to work in variable temperatures (cold/hot)
