Job Type Full-time Description Job Title: Commercial Loan Coordinator I FLSA: Non-Exempt Function: Commercial Banking Reports To: Director of Credit Administration Purpose: Partner with the Commercial Loan Officers to coordinate the processing of new loan requests, renewals, and refinances of commercial loans. Assist in the process of closing and servicing commercial loans and relationships in accordance with regulatory and credit union guidelines, policies, and procedures. Provide members with an extraordinary experience in accordance with the credit union's core values and service promise. Responsibilities: Prepare the loan closing documents, determining which loan documents are needed to ensure that the loan is properly secured, and confirming the loan documents have been prepared in accordance with the credit approval, repayment, covenants, collateral, and other requirements and conditions. Review and interpret title commitments. Request endorsements and submit surveys and other pertinent documents. Review insurance declaration pages and binders. Request and review UCC searches. Prepare UCCs in accordance with the loan approval and file with the appropriate government agency. Request and review flood certifications. Ensure all trailing documents are obtained and imaged in a timely manner (i.e. title work including final title policy, recorded mortgage, recorded UCC, collateral assignment of life insurance policies). Perform loan servicing duties that include answering member inquiries, processing UCC continuations, preparing collateral releases, monitoring and completing tickler actions. Perform payment related activities that include application of loan payments and principal pay downs and ACH maintenance. Calculate pre-payment premiums and prepare pay-off quotes. Investigate and reconcile escalated questions/concerns with regard to the account or disbursed loan products. Use independent discretion and take ownership in problem resolution of complex or escalated commercial service issues, work closely with the Loan Officer, Commercial Credit Analyst and/or Director of Commercial Credit Administration, as necessary. Complete comprehensive audits of newly booked loans to ensure accurate documentation and loan system data entry in relation to the loan approval document and internal policies and procedures. Verify and examine closing documents for accuracy, following disbursement. Maintain member account information and loan related documents, update when appropriate. Prepare appropriate documents, initiate verifications, and any necessary documentation for all commercial services. Communicate with members, title companies, appraisal companies, environmental companies, insurance companies, Lender Service Providers (LSP), the SBA, and other financial institutions throughout the loan application, underwriting, closing, and servicing processes. Maintain systems of record and monitor and process account maintenance as needed. Coordinate disbursement of loan proceeds in accordance with credit union policies and procedures. Monitor the release and/or substitution of collateral to ensure proper credit approval. Maintain the accurate loading and maintenance of each loan account in the system. Maintain an up-to-date and comprehensive knowledge of the credit union's products and services. Promote and maintain a confidential environment to protect member, employee, and credit union information. Follow all credit union policies, procedures, and requirements in addition to all state and federal laws and regulations. Create and promote a positive professional image of oneself and the credit union. Exemplify the credit union's core values and service promise. Perform all other duties as assigned. Requirements Education and Experience: A two-year college degree Commercial services background desired Client (Member) care service experience Financial services industry experience Proficient with Microsoft Programs such as Word, Outlook, Excel, and PowerPoint Skills, Abilities, and other Requirements: Strong computer and application skills Strong problem-solving skills Strong communication (verbal and written) and grammar skills Ability to be bonded required Ability to be registered under the SAFE Act required Ability to successfully organize, prioritize, and manage multiple responsibilities Ability to keep up with a busy work flow Ability to sit/stand for long periods of time Ability to perform repetitive tasks Occasional travel to offsite locations may be required Team player with a positive attitude and flexibility Professional demeanor and personal accountability
