Prepare reports and various correspondences. Administers projects, programs, and/or processes applicable to the unit. Analyzes unit operating practices and recommends revisions to improve established procedures. May serve as an administrative liaison with others within and outside the company regarding administrative issues. The American Red Cross of WNY is seeking a dynamic and highly motivated and proactive Executive Coordinator to support the Regional CEO. This key role requires a skilled individual who can build and maintain strong relationships with volunteers, Board of Directors key stakeholders and represent the CEO in high-level meetings, and serve as a deputy for the CEO in managing various programs and projects. The ideal candidate will be mission-driven, detail-oriented, and a strategic thinker capable of driving initiatives forward. The candidate must reside no more than 45 minutes from the chapter. WHERE YOUR CAREER IS A FORCE FOR GOOD (Key Responsibilities): Build and maintain strong, collaborative relationships, ensuring effective communication and coordination. Represent the CEO in meetings and events as needed, conveying the organization's mission and objectives. Serve as the CEO's deputy, managing critical programs and projects, ensuring deadlines are met, and that all work aligns with organizational goals. Provide strategic and operational support to the CEO in managing cross-functional teams, setting priorities, and executing initiatives. Prepare and coordinate materials for Board meetings, including agendas, presentations, and follow-ups. Organize logistics for meetings involving volunteers, staff and Board Members. Liaise with internal and external stakeholders to facilitate the success of key organizational initiatives. Handle confidential and sensitive information with the utmost discretion and professionalism. The salary range for this position is (NYC): $ 26.54 - $27.19 / hour Note that American Red Cross salaries are aligned to the specific geographic location in which the work is primarily performed. Other factors that may be used to determine your actual salary may include your specific skills, how many years of experience you have and comparison to other employees already in this role. Scope: Extensive knowledge of the job. Comprehensive acquaintance with both general and specific aspects of the job and their practical application to complex problems normally encountered. Contacts are frequent with individuals representing other organizations or individuals of significant importance within organization. WHAT YOU NEED TO SUCCEED (Minimum Qualifications ): Education: High School or equivalent required. Experience: Minimum 7 years related experience or equivalent combination of education and related experience required. Management Experience: N/A A current, valid driver's license with good driving record is required. Skills & Abilities: Excellent verbal and written communication skills. Proficient in personal computer use and Microsoft Office Suite. Proficient typing skills required. Knowledge of organizational policies and procedures that relate to operations within assigned organizational unit is preferred. Ability to prepare and edit complex documents is preferred. Ability to work on a team. Specific vision abilities required by this job include close vision, distance vision, color vision, peripheral vision, depth perception and ability to adjust focus. The work environment will consist of moderate noise (i.e. business office with computers, phones and printers, light traffic). The employee must have the ability to work in a small cubicle and have the ability to sit at a computer terminal for an extended period of time.
