Purpose of the job Lead Windsor Locks' Quality Department in the design, implementation, and continued execution of the Quality Management System to ensure regulatory and customer needs are met. Reporting areas include Quality Assurance, Quality Appraisal, Quality Engineering. Main responsibility areas Job Responsibilities Include: Manages assigned staff. Provides coaching, support and regular feedback to staff. Prepares and conducts performance reviews. Takes an active role in providing performance feedback and developing careers of direct reports. Acts as a management resource for production areas, including operations within the site and other Ahlstrom production locations. Ensures compliance with all site procedures; state, federal and international regulations; and standards including FDA and ISO. Manages the auditing programs and maintains certifications under ISO 9001, ISO 13485, ISO2200 and kosher status for food products. Oversees testing and auditing for raw materials and finished products. Works closely with Manufacturing, Purchasing and suppliers to ensure appropriate raw materials are qualified. Oversees and improves product quality and the processes used to manufacture and convert products. Assists with the identification/creation and implementation of quality-related software to analyze and report data. Assists in analysis of results against plans and proposes corrective action plans. Experience and education Bachelor's degree required, or an equivalent combination of education and experience. MBA preferred. At least 15 years of previous work experience in Quality, Manufacturing with at least 10 years of management experience required. Other Required Attributes Ability to work additional hours during the week, on weekends, or outside of regular office hours may be required. The ability to work in a normal office environment, including sitting or standing for long periods of time.
