Analyst $65,000-$75,000 a year - Full-time - Remote with the option of hybrid remote at Caliper headquarters: 1172 Beacon Street, #301, Newton, MA, 02461, USA Description: This entry-level analyst position will perform a variety of activities including product testing, user experience (UX) design, user interface (UI) design, technical support, customer service, quote and order handling, product marketing and analysis, database product development, search engine optimization (SEO), and web page design. There will be a heavy sales and customer support focus, and 50% or more of the role will involve selling to, training, and onboarding customers. As a consequence, this role will be of particular interest to those wishing to gain knowledge and experience in the fields of sales, marketing, and entrepreneurship. Analysts will assist businesses in using Caliper software, primarily Maptitude, to achieve their business development and analytical goals. They will participate in consulting and research projects for corporations and government agencies. Analysts will work with senior staff, most of whom have advanced degrees and a high degree of expertise in their chosen fields. Analysts will be exposed to sophisticated methods of analysis and the application of the latest geographic information software tools. Analysts may also have the opportunity to rotate through different roles in product development and testing, business strategy, marketing and sales, and information technology. It is expected that Analysts will return to school after several years to pursue advanced degrees, although promotion with Caliper is not precluded.
