E&I Quality Control Construction Manager

Tesla is looking for a Quality Control Construction Instruments & Electrical Manager to help support existing Facilities Construction projects at Gigafactory in Nevada. Responsibilities Assist with development of the site-specific QA/QC program while driving a quality culture that embraces both "right first time" and continuous learning approach that improves project efficiency and qualityEstablish and maintain working relationships with consultants, contractors, subcontractors, commissioning agents and vendors to ensure that the site-specific QC Program is followed for all projectsExecutes the specific inspections on materials, equipment and construction/installation deliveries and activities on siteConfirm that scopes of work installation conforms to approved Design drawings, specifications, and methodWitness & perform construction complete inspection checks & writes QC reports verifying proper install per design & code standardsObtain relevant documentation and ensure the correct implementation of the Inspection Test Plans for all things related to electrical, controls & fire protectionAssist and coordinate final handover documentation (QC documents, test reports, inspection reports, etc.) including completion of construction punch lists Requirements Bachelor's Degree in Electrical Engineering or equivalent related experience with a minimum of five years' experience in quality assuranceKnowledge of the construction quality process, means and methods, and materials, their characteristics, installation procedures and tolerances in Controls, Instruments, and Electrical SystemsExperience in the construction quality management of mission critical facilitiesAbility to research building codes (NFPA/NEC, UL, other) and interpret the requirements against installed productStrong computer skills and a familiarity with Microsoft Office SuiteAbility to adapt to a fast paced, hands-on, working environment.
