With a unique multidisciplinary team approach, we utilize state-of-the-art survey tools, simulation models, specialized design software, computer-aided design, and advanced data analytics. Our services include traffic pattern analysis, forecasting modeling, and real-time/historic data monitoring, enabling us to optimize transportation systems and make informed decisions. The ongoing success of our team allows you to set the pace of your career. This is a paid internship/co-op position with full time hours either Spring or Summer 2025 semester. We believe training, collaboration, and connections are strengthened by working alongside team members. Therefore, this is primarily an office position with limited remote work (if any) anticipated. Your Key Responsibilities Collect, clean, and analyze data from various sources to support engineering/planning decisions. Create and maintain dashboards and reports to visualize data insights. Assist in the development and implementation of data collection systems and strategies. Collaborate with different project teams to understand their data needs and provide relevant insights. Conduct basic statistical analysis to identify trends and patterns. Support senior analysts in more complex data projects. Ensure data accuracy and integrity by performing regular data quality checks. Qualifications Your Capabilities and Credentials Strong analytical skills with the ability to collect, organize, analyze, and disseminate significant amounts of information with attention to detail and accuracy. Proficiency in data analysis tools and software such as Excel, SQL, and Python/R. Basic understanding of data visualization tools like Tableau or Power BI. Excellent communication skills, both written and verbal. Ability to work independently and as part of a team. Strong problem-solving skills and a proactive attitude. Preferred Qualifications Internship or project experience in data analysis. Familiarity with machine learning concepts and tools. Knowledge of database management systems. Education and Experience Bachelor's degree in data science, Statistics, Mathematics, Computer Science, or a related field. Preference towards applicants who have completed or are currently pursuing a Master's degree. Pay transparency laws require employers to provide the following information for positions that may be in the following jurisdiction(s): Salary Range(s): $21.91 Per Hour - $32.21 Per Hour Min/Max Pay Range(s) for postings located in NYC/NY The final agreed upon compensation is based on individual education, qualifications, experience, and work location. At Stantec certain roles are bonus eligible.
