The Lead Agile Program manager contributes to the management of Product and/or Program execution: the expectation is that the role is interchangeable in terms of Agile Program Management, Product and Program execution and management of functions outside the Product Operating Model (POM). This role is responsible for managing (value) workstreams across multiple Pods and/or broader cross-functional Programs to deliver strategic business outcomes. This entails coaching and facilitating program or value chain stakeholders & participants on CME execution methodologies Principal Accountabilities: •Steers Program / Product Planning including work plans (backlog and delivery teams' readiness) . •Works with Product Manager(s)/Owners, Portfolio Operations, and other stakeholders from each team to review Program plans (Program Increments) progress against OKRs, capture impediments •Manages risks and dependencies for product delivery; facilitates escalation/ resolution of the identified dependencies/impediments to ensure continuous flow of value •Drives synchronization and tracks execution across multiple teams (ie. Pods) through weekly sync events (eg Scrum of Scrums or a Program level execution or steering meeting) •Drives Demo & Retrospective events, and identifies opportunities for improvement •Agile Execution: within a value chain, collaborates with Scrum Masters to define and communicate PI and Sprint calendars, configure JIRA boards, track Portfolio Epics/ Features/ User stories progress. In addition, coaches Business, Product Manager, Delivery Teams, and Scrum Masters on Lean Agile best practices applied at CME Group. •Non-POM Execution: the role of a Program Manager, Partners with business stakeholders, third parties and/or senior team members to identify and clarify gaps in scope and requirements. Moreover, works with cross-functional teams and ensures that projects are appropriately staffed and that deliverables are well defined, executed and achieved with quality. This includes contributing to lean business cases with the Business Office and corporate development specific to project delivery (key deliverables and milestones), and identifies the necessary contributors to achieve targeted business outcome and value. •Transparency: regularly communicates based on target audience relevant status on program which represent a holistic, cross-functional view on progress to deliver business value •Success Metrics (OKRs): Establishes outcome oriented completion and success criteria for each product or program with sponsors, then works with delivery teams to ensure that outcomes for each product or program within the program are met. Transparency: leverage standardized reporting tools to identifies, documents and communicates decisions, open items, risks and issues to T&E Leadership. Provides transparency to all stakeholders and leverages team(s) and drives to communicate decisions, resolves open items, mitigates risks and resolves issues. Change Requests: works with stakeholders to manage change requests, including re-evaluation of project forecasts Metrics: analyzes and reports on delivery patterns & variances, and leads corrective actions as necessary. Lead and Influence Teams with a Global Mindset: looks toward the broadest possible view of an issue or challenge, and thinks and talks in global terms. Understands the position of the organization within a global context and the impact of global trends on the organization. Is sensitive to how people and organizations function and anticipates land mines and plans to approach accordingly. With minimal guidance, increasingly more comfortable with organizational politics and know who has power, respect and influence.
