Quality Control Manager

Location: Swedesboro, NJPay Range: $60,000-80,000 per yearEmployment Type: Direct Hire Start Date: ASAPSchedule/Hours: Monday-Friday Schedule: M-F, 8-430pm Job Description:A global leader in the citrus industry, is looking for a Quality Control Manager to join their Import Operations team in Swedesboro, NJ. This is an exciting opportunity for someone passionate about fruit quality, optimization, and ensuring top-notch standards throughout the storage, packing, and distribution process.Key Responsibilities:Collaborate with customers and their quality teams to optimize product utilization and address any quality , implement, and maintain quality control procedures and standards.Conduct inspections of incoming fruits (including citrus, grapes, plums, and other varieties) during the packing process.Identify and document any defects or quality issues, implementing corrective actions as necessary.Allocate products to lots and customers based on quality and origin.Ensure all quality control processes comply with industry standards and regulations (USDA/FDA) and the company's QA Manual.Work closely with other departments, such as marketing and operations, to address quality concerns and align with quality goals.Stay updated on industry trends, best practices, and regulatory changes.Lead continuous improvement initiatives to enhance quality control processes and overall product quality.Requirements:Bachelors in Food Science, Agriculture, or a related field is required.Experience in the fruit industry with a strong understanding of fruit quality standards and inspections.Excellent analytical and problem-solving puter literacy, particularly in database systems.Effective communication and interpersonal skills.Relevant certifications in quality control or food safety are a D38Requirements:Job Type:PermanentPost Date:09/30/2024
