The Town of Charlton seeks to fill a full-time Regional Health Inspector position. The Regional Health Inspector will work with 5 neighboring Towns to ensure all towns are supported. Under the general supervision of the Charlton Coalition for Public Health and direct supervision by the Charlton Health Director, the Regional Health Inspector is responsible for helping with technical and inspectional work to promote and protect the public health of CCPH residents through the enforcement of state and local public health laws related to food and housing.•High School Diploma or Equivalent•Thorough knowledge of food service regulations, and all other laws, rules and regulations pertaining to housing. •Working knowledge of current inspection and control procedures. •Ability to maintain records and prioritize tasks.•Ability to multi-task in a detailed and organized manner. •Ability to maintain confidential information.•Ability to communicate effectively verbally and in writing.•Ability to respond with tact and courtesy when interacting with the public.•Excellent customer service and people skills.•Excellent oral and written communication skills.•Ability to establish and maintain effective working relationships with Municipal employees, Town officials, state regulatory agencies and the public. •Ability to enforce laws and regulations in an impartial and consistent manner.•Must have valid driver's license. Hiring Pay Range: $55,000 - $75,000 Depending on experience and qualifications.
