Job Description CDS Global is seeking a highly driven Global Partnerships Business Development Manager to lead the global expansion of our technology products and services. The individual will be responsible for identifying, building, and nurturing alliances and relationships with technology partners, including software companies, hardware providers, and systems integrators for our US and international business. The role involves a mix of strategic relationship-building, sales expertise, and technical acumen, aimed at driving mutual growth for both our company and our partners on a global scale. ESSENTIAL FUNCTIONS • Maintains confidentiality of CDS Global and its clients' proprietary information. Partner Relationship Development: • Identifies potential global technology alliance partners to expand our market reach. • Build partnerships for the US and UK operations. • Develops strong, strategic partnerships with technology vendors, platforms, and ecosystem partners to create joint go-to-market strategies. • Serves as the main point of contact for partner relationships, managing day-to-day interactions and ensuring ongoing satisfaction. • Grows revenue by developing and nurturing partnership relationships. Sales Strategy and Execution: • Drives partner-led sales opportunities, ensuring alignment with our global sales objectives. • Collaborates with internal teams, including product, marketing, and sales, to develop customized value propositions for partners. • Achieves revenue growth through joint selling initiatives and co-marketing activities. Market Expansion and Growth: • Identifies market trends and opportunities to position our products effectively with global partners. • Uses data and insights to develop business cases and joint business plans with partners to expand revenue opportunities. • Facilitates product integration, co-selling opportunities, and partner enablement to maximize sales impact. Negotiation and Contracts: • Lead negotiations with partners, ensuring favorable terms and mutually beneficial agreements. • Manages partner contracts, agreements, and renewal processes. Collaboration and Enablement: • Work cross-functionally with internal teams to ensure partners are effectively trained and enabled to sell our solutions. • Collaborates on the development of marketing collateral, case studies, and joint campaigns with partners. • Must have a sales mindset and behaviors-not just looking for partnerships but thinking about how it's ultimately revenue impacting. • Prepares proposals for new business partnership opportunities or contracts. • Documents and tracks of all communications with prospective partnerships, such as emails, phone calls, and verbal communications in CDS Global's customer relationship management system. • Identifies potential partnerships through research and networking activities, then contacting them to set up meetings or presentations. • Coordinates and hosts company visits including presentation and tours. • Negotiates partnership contracts with new clients according to established company policies and procedures. • Attends and represents CDS Global at industry functions. • Travels extensively, up to 25% of the time, sometimes with little notice. • Interacts in a cooperative and professional manner, with all levels of employees, vendors and/or clients, in team environment. • Organizes tasks and resources to complete work and meet deadlines according to established departmental procedures. • Follows CDS Global ergonomic and safety policies. • Adheres to CDS Global attendance policies; reports to work station as directed by management. ADDITIONAL DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES • Assumes additional responsibilities as requested or required. • Performs additional sales/marketing duties as requested or required. EDUCATION AND/OR CERTIFICATION, SKILLS AND LICENSING • Bachelor's degree in Business, Marketing, or a related field. MBA or relevant certifications in partnerships or business development are a plus. Equivalent experience may be substituted for the minimum education requirement. • Deep subscription technology industry knowledge. Meaning technical understanding of product/services, knowledge about the competitors in the space, understanding of who the leaders are for different pieces of the industry. For example: Knowing who the top marketing automation software providers are, why they are good at what they do, who they best serve. • Five or more years in business development, partnerships, or sales roles within the technology or SaaS industry. • Successful global partnership experience. • Proven track record of success in developing and managing global technology partnerships. • Experience with B2B SaaS solutions, preferably subscription management or similar sectors. • Connections in the industry- need to know people, have worked at a variety of different companies, and can leverage those relationships to get meetings and sign new business. • Strong understanding of technology ecosystems and partner channels. • Exceptional negotiation and contract management skills. • Excellent communication, presentation, and interpersonal skills with the ability to build rapport at all levels. • Ability to work independently while collaborating with cross-functional teams. • Experience working in a global market with cultural sensitivity and an understanding of regional business practices. • Needs to be charismatic and personable. Proven success developing partnerships with people in key roles at organizations. • Strong understanding of technology solutions, with the ability to convey complex technical concepts to partners. • Knowledge of integration strategies, APIs, or cloud-based platforms is a plus. • Capable of organizing tasks/resources to meet deadlines in dynamic, business solutions environment. • Capable of interacting in a professional manner with all levels of CDS Global employees, clients, and/or vendors in team environment. • Access to transportation requiring a valid driver's license, proof of safe driving record, and active insurance. • Advanced PC knowledge and skills to use electronic mail and internet for complex research. Develops and edits complex Microsoft Excel or Word documents. Creates edits and presents presentations. • Excellent written and verbal communication skills. • Intermediate math skills. What you can expect when you join CDS Global: Grade Pay Range: $110,032.00 - $151,840.00. Starting salary is dependent on candidate qualifications and experience. In addition to the base salary, this role is eligible to participate in the company's sales incentive plan upon hire.
